About this house

Edo-style tempura house founded in 1870, with private rooms around a garden pond. The 60-seat hall takes no reservations (shared tables) and closes when the rooms are fully booked.

The rooms book course-only, by phone or online; a day ahead is often enough on weekdays. Courses run from ¥8,800 (weekday lunch) to ¥22,000 with tax, plus 10% service. The signature is Raijin-age, a large kakiage of shiba shrimp and aoyagi clam. Children's meals available. Ikyu: 50% the day before, 100% on the day. Closed Tue and Wed.
