Cancellation Policy

1. How cancellation charges work

1. Days are counted in Japan Standard Time, based on the restaurant's local date.
2. Percentages apply to the estimated course total for your party (course price × number of guests), as stated in your Confirmation email.
3. Charges are made automatically to your registered card. The booking fee is separate and non-refundable after Confirmation.
4. Reducing the party size is treated as a cancellation of the reduced seats.
5. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may be treated by the restaurant as a no-show.

2. Charge schedule

2a. When a restaurant's own policy is stricter

1. Some restaurants publish official cancellation policies that begin earlier (e.g. 7+ days before, or from the moment of booking). Where a restaurant's official policy is stricter than the schedule above, the restaurant's schedule applies instead.
2. In that case we state the restaurant's full schedule in your Confirmation, and your reservation is confirmed only after you approve it. You are never bound by terms you have not seen.
3. For certain bookings (policies that charge from the moment of booking, high-value courses, or large parties), we require full prepayment of the course at Confirmation; refunds then follow the restaurant's schedule as stated in your Confirmation.

3. Why we charge — and where the money goes

A cancelled counter seat at a small omakase restaurant usually cannot be resold: fish has been bought and aged for you. Our cancellation charges are set within the range of the average loss actually incurred and are used to compensate the restaurant under our partnership agreements. This guarantee is the reason restaurants entrust us with seats.

4. Exceptions

1. If we or the restaurant cancel your confirmed reservation, you pay nothing and all amounts paid are refunded.
2. Documented emergencies (natural disaster, flight cancellation for same-day arrivals with documentation) are reviewed case by case in good faith.
