Cancellations: on the restaurant's Ikyu page, tick "空席通知メールに登録する" (vacancy-notice email) and Ikyu notifies you — members only, offered by some restaurants, and it does not hold the seat. faq.ikyu.com

About this house

Six seats (seven for a private buyout), The Tabelog Award 2026 Bronze and Silver 2021. Omakase ¥30,000 tax included, no service charge, cards accepted; all-Chiba sourcing (fish direct from prefectural fishermen, own contracted rice, Chiba sake).

Exceptions and seasons

Chef Chiharu Takaoka ran the counter as 'Chiba Takaoka' in Tokyo Midtown Yaesu from March 2023 and returned to Chiba City (Noborito 1-7-6) in spring 2025; the older 'one month ahead, hundreds of redials' lore predates the move and no longer applies. Children are not admitted; cancellation 100% from two days before (Ikyu).

Takaoka takes reservations online through Ikyu and TableCheck, which you can use from abroad with your own account and a credit card.
