How the book opens

Peak season (1 Apr–15 Aug): apply on the house website during November for the following year; overlapping requests are drawn by lot and only winners are phoned mid–late December. Other dates: phone 11:00–17:00 on business days.

Exceptions and seasons

Kuwana clams peak June–July; those weeks go to the November lottery and to regulars rebooking a year out. Spring and autumn dates are phone bookings with normal lead time.
