JPNEAZY Review: How Its Percentage-Based Reservation Fees Work (2026)

In shortAs of October 3, 2026, JPNEAZY, operated by Fesbase Inc. in Tokyo, charges a handling fee of 10–15% of the course price for course reservations, with the course prepaid, or a fixed amount set per restaurant for table reservations. The fee is charged only when the restaurant confirms and is not refunded after that. It lists restaurants across many prefectures and cuisines and marks each with its own success label.

JPNEAZY charges a percentage of the course price for course reservations, not a flat fee per seat. This page sets out how that works, what the service covers, and when it may suit you. All figures are from JPNEAZY’s own pages, read on October 3, 2026: its cancellation policy and its help center on the handling fee and cancellation after confirmation. Check them again before you book, because terms can change.

What JPNEAZY is

JPNEAZY is operated by Fesbase Inc., Shinagawa, Tokyo. Its concierge support runs 10:00–18:00 JST, closed on Sundays. The site is in English and lists restaurants in prefectures from Hokkaido to Okinawa, with an overseas listing in Bangkok. Its cuisine filters run from sushi, kaiseki and tempura to ramen, okonomiyaki and restaurants of other countries.

Each listing carries a success label: High‑Success, Middle‑Success, Low‑Success or Rare‑Seat. JPNEAZY presents these as the likelihood of securing a reservation; it does not publish how they are set.

The fee model

As of October 3, 2026:

Booking type JPNEAZY fee Meal When the fee is charged Refundable?
Course reservation 10–15% of the course price, set per restaurant Course prepaid; extras paid at the restaurant When the restaurant confirms No, once confirmed
Table reservation A fixed amount set per restaurant Paid at the restaurant When the restaurant confirms No, once confirmed

The exact fee is shown on each restaurant’s page or in the confirmation email. Because the course fee is a percentage, it scales with the meal: 12% of a ¥12,000 course is ¥1,440, and 12% of a ¥50,000 course is ¥6,000. JPNEAZY’s help center describes the handling fee as “NOT part of the restaurant’s meal price prepayment or deposit”; it is a charge for JPNEAZY’s own service.

Cancellation and changes

As of October 3, 2026, the restaurant’s cancellation policy applies, with JPNEAZY’s own rules on top:

  • A cancellation request must reach JPNEAZY by 12:00 JST on the restaurant’s cancellation deadline; non‑business days are not counted.
  • Once a reservation is confirmed, the handling fee is not refunded in any circumstances.
  • For a course reservation cancelled before the restaurant’s deadline, the prepaid course price is refunded; after it, the restaurant’s cancellation fee applies.
  • Reservation details can be changed once after confirmation.

For background, see Japan’s cancellation culture.

What a booking looks like

  1. Search by area, cuisine and date; the listing shows the success label and the fee.
  2. Choose a course or a table where offered, party size and times.
  3. Submit the request with card details. The handling fee is charged only on confirmation.
  4. JPNEAZY contacts the restaurant. It aims to reply within 24 hours, excluding non‑business days, and confirming availability may take several days. On confirmation, the handling fee and, for a course reservation, the course price are charged.
  5. On the day, extras are paid at the restaurant.

When JPNEAZY may suit you

  • You want to send a request in English, online, without making a phone call.
  • The restaurant you want is on JPNEAZY’s list, which covers many prefectures and cuisines that are not in our collection.
  • Your course is modest in price, so a percentage fee comes to less than a flat fee: 10–15% of a ¥12,000 course is ¥1,200–¥1,800.
  • You want the course paid in advance on a course reservation.
  • You want an indication of how likely a request is to succeed before you send it.

Points to check before you book

  • The percentage rises with the course price: 15% of a ¥60,000 course is ¥9,000 per person.
  • The handling fee is not refunded after confirmation, even when the course price is refunded in full.
  • Requests can take several days, and support is closed on Sundays.

Compared with other routes

Tableall charges a flat ¥8,000 per seat with the course prepaid. Pocket Concierge‘s terms provide for a usage fee set separately by the company, with payment when the reservation is concluded. A hotel concierge’s terms depend on the hotel. Booking direct on TableCheck costs nothing beyond any platform fee where the restaurant takes web bookings. All the routes are set side by side in our 2026 comparison.

Our desk

We call restaurants in Japanese from Tokyo, focusing on restaurants that take bookings by phone. Our booking fee is ¥6,000 per seat at a restaurant in our collection and ¥12,000 per seat elsewhere, charged only if we secure the table and you approve it. You pay the restaurant for the meal on the night, and the restaurant’s own cancellation terms apply. We do not book introduction‑only restaurants, transport or lodging. To request a seat, tell us your dates or read how it works.
