About this house

Shabu-shabu restaurant opened in 2008: Kagoshima black pork, black wagyu and Satsuma jidori as a course, in a bonito-mackerel-kombu broth or a tomato broth. One course per person; children's course for primary age and under.

Exceptions and seasons

Dinner only, 17:30–22:00 (food last order 21:00, last entry 20:00). Irregular closing days, announced on the official site and Instagram. Around 40 seats, mostly semi-private booths screened by bamboo blinds; the few private rooms cannot be booked online, and online bookings may be limited to 90–120 minutes in busy periods.

How do I book Umeya from abroad?

Umeya takes reservations online through Hitosara, which you can use from abroad with your own account and a credit card. If you would rather not, our Tokyo desk can request it for you: ¥12,000 per seat, charged only if the table is secured. A free release-date alert emails you the day before, on the morning of release day (08:00 JST) and about 30 minutes before when the opening time is known; houses that open a little every day come in a weekly summary.
