Sixty-five seats over two floors. Only the upstairs sunken-kotatsu tables can be reserved, for three or more, by phone from 14:00; the counter is first come, and pairs simply queue — early (17:00) or late (after 20:00) works.

How do I book Torikawa Suikyo from abroad?
Torikawa Suikyo takes reservations by phone in Japanese only. Phone line: 092-731-1766, Japanese, from 14:00; service 17:00–23:00 daily (closed New Year and four or five irregular days a month). From abroad, either call at those hours or have a Japanese speaker call for you. If you would rather not, our Tokyo desk can request it for you: ¥6,000 per seat, charged only if the table is secured. A free release-date alert emails you the day before, on the morning of release day (08:00 JST) and about 30 minutes before when the opening time is known; houses that open a little every day come in a weekly summary.
