Obanzai home cooking since 1988 in a 1940 house in Fukuyama: 20 to 30 platters of Setouchi seasonal dishes at ¥300-800 each, or omakase within your budget from about ¥3,000. Around 30 counter and table seats plus a private room for about 10.

How the book opens

Reservations by phone only; no release schedule is published. Lunch and dinner both take bookings; the restaurant fills with reserved guests, so call ahead.

Exceptions and seasons

Dinner 17:00-22:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; lunch 11:30-14:00 (last order 13:30) Monday to Wednesday. Closed Thursdays, Sundays and public holidays. Cards may not be accepted for lunch.
